Vale Inco employs people to support its operations in Voisey’s Bay, Labrador and the engineering and planning for the processing plant in Long Harbour, Newfoundland. Currently there are 600 people employed by Vale Inco in all facets of its operations. Once the Long Harbour Processing Plant is operational in 2013, an additional 450 people will be employed. |

The construction site will be governed by a collective agreement which has been negotiated between Vale Inco and the Newfoundland and Labrador Building and Construction Trades Council. Anyone working on the construction site at Long Harbour must be a member of one of the building trade unions. |
